A snowfall warning is in effect today for Whitecourt, Edson, Barrhead, Fox Creek and the surrounding areas.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says a long period of snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.
Snow should intensify Tuesday evening, with the heaviest snow ending Wednesday morning.
Visibility may be reduced at times, so motorists should allow extra time for travel.
