Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for the Fox Creek, Edson and Whitecourt regions.
The ECCC says heavy snowfall is expected today, with total amounts nearing 15 cm.
The heaviest snow is expected this afternoon and evening, but it should end overnight.
Travel will likely be challenging due to reduced visibility, so motorists should prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
This warning is in effect for Woodlands County, the Municipal District of Greenview and Yellowhead County.
