Whitecourt Minor Hockey is hosting the U13-B Hockey Alberta 2026 Championships this weekend.
March 19-22, the best U13-B teams in the province will be competing for the championship title.
Today, the Whitecourt Wolverines take on the Irvine Bulldogs at 6 p.m. in the Athabasca Arena, while the Swat U13 Black take on the Bow River Bruins 2 Gold at 6:30 p.m.
Whitecourt plays again on Friday at 2 p.m. against the Swat U13 Black, then at 1:30 p.m. against the Bow River Bruins on Saturday.
Sunday, March 22, is for the gold medal game.
Meantime, the U15 AA Trac Wolverines are in Camrose for the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) U15 AA 2026 Provincials.
At 11 a.m. today, they take on the St. Albert Bears.
Friday, March 20, they face the Red Deer Steel Kings Chiefs at 9 a.m. and the Camrose Vikings at 5:15 p.m.
Saturday, they’re matched against the CRAA Gold at 4:30 p.m.
The bronze medal game goes Sunday at 10 a.m., followed by the gold medal matchup at 1 p.m.
