Freezing rain is expected to develop in the Whitecourt and Barrhead regions this evening.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says freezing rain has developed over Central Alberta and will move north and eastwards through the evening.
The freezing rain is expected to end from west to east, ending around Edmonton late Monday afternoon or early Monday evening, then most of northern Alberta later Monday night, and south of Fort McMurray Tuesday morning.
Officials say localized ice accumulations of 2 to 4 mm is possible.
