The Alberta Community Response Team recently arrested a Whitecourt resident on multiple drug trafficking charges.
On Feb. 20, the Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Whitecourt RCMP and Western Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, executed a search warrant on a residence and vehicle on 47 Street in Whitecourt.
As a result, police allegedly located and seized:
- 370 grams of methamphetamine
- Five grams of cocaine
- 51 unknown pills
- 62 grams of cannabis
- One gram of ketamine
- 400 mL of GHB
- Extendable baton
- Imitation firearm
- Drug-trafficking paraphernalia
- $915 in Canadian currency
A 43-year-old woman has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x7)
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public (x2)
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
She was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. She faces multiple charges and is due before the Alberta Court of Justice in Whitecourt on March 10.
