Snowy weather across Alberta has meant stuck cars and dicey commutes this morning.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says a storm making its way across the prairies is expected to slam Alberta with as much as 20 centimetres of snow.
In the Whitecourt region, that snow could accumulate as high as 40 centimetres, according to ECCC, but it is expected to end tonight.
Officials say travel will be challenging and residents should prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
This snowfall warning is in effect for Woodlands County, near Whitecourt and Blue Ridge, as well as Yellowhead County, Lac Ste. Anne County and the Municipal District of Greenview.
