Farmers and ranchers are invited to give their input to two industry surveys right now.
The Canadian Cattle Association is seeking producer feedback and concerns about proposed amendments to federal livestock traceability rules.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency paused the proposed change in January following advocacy to the federal government. It would require farmers and ranchers to increase the level of detail in the animal movements they need to report.

Meantime, the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing has launched the third National Survey of Farmer and Rancher Mental Health in Canada
Farmers and ranchers from all commodities are invited to share their experiences related to stress, burnout, resilience and coping. Officials say results will build on data from 2016 and 2021 in an effort to better understand how mental health in agriculture is evolving.
