Multiple Alberta communities set temperature records on Wednesday.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says the Edson region reached 15.1 C, surpassing its 1992 record of 13.4 C. Records for the area date back to 1916.
Bow Island was the warmest region at 20.3 C., smashing its previous record of just 9.8 C, set in 2012.
The Stony Plain area hit 10.1 C, just under one degree higher than the 2009 record of 9.2 C.
Similarly, Edmonton beat its 9.4 C record set in 1991 by reaching 10.2 C.
