Whitecourt Wolverine Jalen Bianchet has been named the AJHL Player of the Week after earning six points in two road trip wins last weekend.
The team captain now leads the AJHL Scoring Race for this season with 70 points (37 goals and 33 assists) in 41 games played, after tallying 11 in a five-game point streak.
He also earned AJHL Player of the Game for the third time this season on Jan. 30. Bianchet contributed a goal and two assists to the 5-3 victory against the Canmore Eagles.
He then led the team to a second victory the next day with three assists in a 4-1 win over the Calgary Canucks.
The Whitecourt Wolverines lead the AJHL North Division and the AJHL Standings with a record of 30-10-0-1 and 14 regular season games remaining.
