A mobile mammography trailer is coming to Whitecourt in February and March to provide free breast cancer screenings.
The trailer will be at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre Feb. 20-21 and Feb. 23-28, as well as March 2-4.
Individuals must be between the ages of 45 and 74 to be eligible.
While the screenings are free, appointments are required. You can call 1-800-667-0604 to book an appointment or learn more about the program.
A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast. Health officials say screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when treatment may work better.
