The outdoor skating rinks at Percy Baxter and École St. Anne School in Whitecourt are up and running.
Nets and garbage cans are in place, and lights will be running until 10 p.m.
The town says the Central and Southland rinks need a little more time to ensure the ice is safe for use, but officials hope they will be ready by this weekend.
