The Whitecourt Wolverines continued their win streak with a 4-2 victory over the Camrose Kodiaks at the AJHL Showcase on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Assisted by Kyle Tucker and Quentin Bourne, Wolverine Tyler Pretty netted his fifth goal of the season just 30 seconds into the match, but the Kodiaks earned two goals before the end of the period for a 2-1 lead.
Whitecourt’s Jackson DeGraves scored the only goal in period two, tying the game 2-2. Jalen Bianchet and Tristan Slywka got the helpers.
In period three, Bianchet scored his 33rd goal of the season unassisted at 1:43. Then, with 13 seconds left in the game, Ty Rayan also scored an empty netter with no assistance.
The Wolverines are now on a six game win streak as they continue to lead the AJHL North Division, now with a record of 27-9-0-1.
