Town of Whitecourt residents might soon start to see photo radar tickets showing up in the mail.
The town paused mailing out photo radar tickets in 2025 due to provincial delays and mail disruptions, officials say.
Recently, Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services notified municipalities that they are now authorized to resume issuing tickets for violations recorded up to one year ago.
Whitecourt has opted to enforce a six-month time frame, so violations that occurred between July 2025 and the present will now be issued.
The town notes that photo radar sites in Whitecourt are only located in school and park zones.
