Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a wind warning for the Barrhead County area.
ECCC says strong winds from the northwest, reaching 90 km/h, are expected today.
Winds should weaken in the evening, but in the meantime, power outages and property damage are possible, and driving conditions will likely be difficult.
Residents in the area are advised to secure loose objects.
