The Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) has appointed Delaney Ueland as its new health and wellness coordinator.
Ueland stepped into the role on Dec. 8 and has 5.5 years of previous experience with the division. She has also served as a human resources specialist, contributed to the Mental Health in School Pilot Project, and then moved on to the role of wellness navigator.
She holds a bachelor of business administration with an emphasis in human resources.
The division shares that she is passionate about student and employee wellness and values a holistic, human-centred approach to her work, which often focuses on social-emotional skills and human connection.
The division notes, the health and wellness coordinator position falls in alignment with the board’s health and wellness priorities by fostering a healthy and supportive environment for both staff and students.
Ueland resides in Edson and looks forward to ensuring accessibility and opportunity for the community, and the personal well-being of all GYPSD staff and students.
