Officials with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) say a long period of snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.
Meteorologists say snowfall will begin near midnight Wednesday evening and continue through Friday. Officials say upwards of 20 cm is possible by Friday evening.
The heaviest snow is expected to fall over the Swan Hills during the day on Thursday.
Officials say travel will likely be challenging and visibility reduced at times, so allow extra time for travel.
