Whitecourt Wolverines goaltender Luke McKechnie has been named to the Team Canada West roster for the upcoming Junior A World Challenge.
The 2007-born goalie has played 11 games this season, with 24 goals against on 239 shots.
The tournament takes place Dec. 7-13 in Quebec. It all kicks off with a 3 p.m. ET matchup between Canada East and the United States. Then, Canada West takes on Sweden at 7 p.m. ET.
The Canada West Team was a bronze medallist last year. The team won gold in 2023, 2017, 2015, 2011, 2007 and 2006.
