Multiple collisions near Whitecourt and Sangudo are expected to cause traffic delays this morning.
According to 511 Alberta, a jackknifed semi trailer on Highway 43 near Highway 757 has caused all lanes to close, and drivers are asked to use an alternate route
There’s also a collision on the same highway near McLeod River. Emergency crews are responding, and travellers in the area should be prepared to stop and expect delays.
Farther up the road, another trailer is jackknifed near Virginia Hills Road, and all lanes are closed.
While the poor road conditions persist, Whitecourt RCMP asks the public to avoid travel in the area.
