Whitecourt Wolverines captain Jalen Bianchet is the AJHL’s Player of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
Bianchet led the AJHL with six goals and three assists in three games.
The 2005-born forward helped the team earn a 3-1 win against the Lloyminster Bobcats midway through the week. In a Fort McMurray double-header, he led the team to a 5-2 win over the Oil Barons with two goals and an assist the first night. On the second night, he scored his first AJHL hat trick and recorded an assist, though the team lost 6-5 to the Oil Barons.
Bianchet was also named the AJHL Player of the Game in both road matches. He is currently the AJHL’s leading scorer.
