A fundraising initiative for the Whitecourt Food Bank is underway, and there’s still time to show your support.
On Nov. 15 at 5:15 p.m., the Town of Whitecourt will light a tree at the Town Office in support of the food bank.
Residents can help light the tree by purchasing a bulb for $20. Payments can be made by mail or in person at the office.
In 2024, the food bank served 2,626 people, which was up 23 per cent compared to 2023. It’s also currently approaching its busiest season.
