Woodlands County has released the official results of its municipal election, which took place on Oct. 20.
Woodlands County’s next council will consist of the following councillors:
Division 1 — Anselmo: David (Dave) Kusch (acclaimed)
Division 2 — Whitecourt West: Patricia MacNeil (117 votes)
Division 3 — Whitecourt Central: Alan Deane (acclaimed)
Division 4 — Whitecourt East: Karen St. Martin (145 votes)
Division 5 — Blue Ridge: Jenna Wright (149 votes)
Division 6 — Goose Lake/Freeman River: Peter Kuelken (acclaimed)
Division 7 — Fort Assiniboine/Timeu: Benny Whitten (114 votes)
Kusch, Deane, and Kuelken were incumbent candidates and acclaimed to another term.
Election results were confirmed at noon on Friday, Oct. 24.
An organizational meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, when the role of reeve will be determined through a nomination process. A deputy reeve and committee representative positions will also be appointed.
A regular meeting will take place afterward. Council will receive the Q3 2025 report from Enforcement Services and consider some new policies.
