The Whitecourt Wolverines’ Jalen Bianchet has been named the AJHL Player of the Week following a six-point week over Oct. 6-12.
On Oct. 8, he scored two goals in a 7-0 shutout against the Bonnyville Pontiacs, then recorded two assists to support a 7-3 win over the Camrose Kodiaks on Oct. 11.
He was also named as AJHL Player of the Game on Sunday, Oct. 12, where he scored two goals in a 7-3 loss against the visiting Lloydminster Bobcats.
With nine games played so far this season, he’s notched 12 goals and six assists, making him the leading scorer in the AJHL with 18 points.
