With nominations closed as of noon Monday, the Town of Edson has released the final list of candidates running in the upcoming municipal election.
No candidates registered to run against incumbent Mayor Kevin Zahara. He is set to be acclaimed as Mayor of Edson for another term today.
Candidates running for the six available town councillor seats include:
- Henry Brown
- Gean Chouinard (incumbent)
- Pat Fogarty
- Shawn Holden
- Ed Moore (incumbent)
- Greg Pasychny (incumbent)
- Al Schram
- Peter Taylor (incumbent)
- Corrie Wilson-Leier
- Liane Zawadiuk-Richardson
Voting will take place on Oct. 20, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The voting station will be located at the Royal Canadian Legion (5016 5 Avenue).
Advance votes will be held on Oct. 4 and Oct. 18 between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The voting station will be located at Griffiths Park Centre (5414 6 Avenue).
