Meantime, the detachment has a new commanding officer, Deputy Commissioner Trevor Daroux.

Daroux has 37 years of policing experience and also served with the Calgary Police Service. He has served as Deputy Chief in Charge of the Bureau of Community Policing in Calgary and as Alberta’s Criminal Operations Officer, among other roles.
He will be focused on building a modern police service that values innovation, embraces change and reflects the diverse needs of Albertans.
