A public hearing is scheduled next month for a Land Use Bylaw amendment in Edson that would redistrict a parcel north of Highway 16 and east of 75 Street from Rural Residential to Highway Commercial (C) and Public Service (PS).
The public hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9 and follows first reading of Bylaw 2328.

(Town of Edson/Council agenda)
The change has been requested by the owner of the land, who intends to subdivide, which requires redistricting to occur first.
As of council’s regular meeting on Aug. 19, no complaints or concerns about the proposal have been received.
The public hearing will take place at 6 p.m. in council chambers. Whether second or third reading occurs that day will depend on the feedback shared by the public at that time, council noted.
