The Barrhead Aquatic Centre is closing soon for its annual “Sparkle and Shine” maintenance treatment.
From August 25 to September 7, the facility will be closed to get things back in top-notch condition for fall in an effort to prevent sudden breakdowns, emergency repairs, or unexpected closures.
This work includes fully draining the pool and shutting down specialized equipment, which would otherwise compromise user safety and experience if it remained open, the town explains.
It will re-open at 6:30 a.m. on September 8. The town says it will post updates on its website, social medial channels and through BARCC Connect, including any potential delays.
Monthly and annual passes will automatically be extended to cover the number of days the pool is closed. Swimming lesson registration for October 2025 will also open on September 8.
In the meantime, the Agrena, Splash Park and other recreation programs are open for use.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the front desk team at 780-674-2532 or recreation@barrhead.ca for assistance with passes, registration, or general inquiries.
