The Town of Barrhead reminds residents that municipal services may be impacted by the Civic Holiday on August 4.
Garbage pick ups next week will see a delayed schedule due to the long weekend. For residents who normally have waste picked up on Monday (August 4), it will be picked up Tuesday instead.
Otherwise, the collection schedule should be back to normal by Wednesday. Town officials say if Tuesday’s route is not picked up by 4:30 p.m., it will be picked up Wednesday instead.
The town office will also be closed on August 4.
The landfill will operate under the following schedule:
- August 2: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- August 3: closed
- August 4: closed
The Aquatics Centre will operate under the following schedule:
- August 2: 12-6 p.m.
- August 3: 12-6 p.m.
- August 4: 12-4 p.m.
During the holiday, if there is an emergency involving town services, such as a water main break, residents are asked to call Public Works at 780-674-2464.
