Step back in time this weekend at the annual Edson Renaissance Faire, where you’ll find food and drink, treasures and trinkets, and no shortage of entertainment.
July 26 and 27 marks the third iteration of the event, where you might see pirates, Vikings, medieval knights or any other 11-16th century characters roaming around.
The vendors are completely themed, selling things like stone, leather or metal wares, weaving, pottery, or even mead.
“It’s kind of like stepping back into a medieval or renaissance fair where people would have come to sell their wares and there would have been entertainment and lots of things to do,” said Diana Insco, lead organizer of the fair.
In addition to the market, entertainment will be roving the fair and taking to the stage at various points of the day. Witness real swordplay at the Heavy Armour demonstrations, incredible horseback archery, magic, potion making and much more throughout the weekend. A full schedule is available here.
Activities run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, followed by live music from Angus and Dolina and Celtic Frolic at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
On Sunday, activities run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are available online or at the gate. You can purchase a day pass or a weekend pass, and concert tickets for Saturday night are available separately as there is limited capacity.
