There’s a full day of activities scheduled in Barrhead for Canada Day this week.
July 1, residents can head to the Barrhead Sportsgrounds (5609 47 Street) for live music, food trucks, beer gardens, family games, $2 swimming, $2 activities and more.
From 2-8 p.m. in the Barrhead Museum, residents can travel through time by taking in historical displays, then enjoy some face painting.
Attendees can also check out the $2 swim time in the Aquatic Centre from 1-5 p.m., or a Vendor Market in the Curling Rink from 2-7 p.m.
In the green space beside the Curling Rink, there will be Indigenous games and demonstrations (2-5 p.m.), bounce houses (2-8 p.m.) and beer gardens (5-10:30 p.m.).
The main stage will be running shows from 2-8 p.m., with it all leading up to the main headliner, The Good, The Band and The Ugly.
Then, everything wraps up with fireworks at 10:45 p.m.
