Edson residents are being informed that several town facilities will be closed temporarily on Wednesday, May 7, as staff participate in Safety Day training.
Officials say town facilities have altered their hours as follows:
The Edson Civic Centre, Griffiths Park Centre, Public Works Building and Protective Services Building will all be closed after 11:00 a.m. Officials assure residents that emergency responses will not be impacted.
Staff with the Edson and District Leisure Centre say their facility will be closed between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Staff with the Edson Landfill say they will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., closed from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will reopen again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
It’s anticipated town facilities should return to regular hours of operation on Thursday, May 8.
Officials apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank residents for their understanding.
