A Whitecourt Wolverines goaltender has been selected as a finalist for the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top Goaltender Award.
Wolverines starting netminder, Alberta Junior Hockey League MVP and Alberta Junior Hockey League Top Goaltender, Zac Onyskiw, was included on the CJHL’s shortlist that was released on Thursday, May 1.
The four-year veteran recorded the most wins amongst goaltenders in the AJHL and finished the 2024/25 regular season with a record of 26-7-1-3, a 1.87 GAA and a .939 save percentage.
Other finalists include:
- Liam Ernst of the Winkler Flyers – MJHL

Officials say finalists were selected through a voting process completed by the CJHL’s nine-member leagues.
