According to officials with the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division, Niton Central School will soon have a new Principal.
In a news release Thursday, April 17, the Division announced Ms. Jennifer Albrecht has accepted the position of Principal for Niton Central School, effective as of Monday, April 21.

Albrecht holds a Master of Education in Education Studies with a research focus on student belongingness in rural education from the University of Alberta and has recently completed a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership.
She began her career at Parkland Composite High School in 1994, teaching English, Social Studies, Career and Life Management (CALM) and a range of CTS options. From 2007 – 2009, Jennifer served as the Development Coordinator for the Pembina Hills Regional Division before moving to The Learning Connection in Edson for the next 11 years.
Albrecht has also contributed to the GYPSD Central Leadership Team since 2021 as a Teacher Consultant involved in the Home Education Program, the Indigenous Pathways Leadership team and the Superintendents Youth Council.
Outside of work, Jennifer says she enjoys volunteering, writing, travelling and spending as much time with her family as possible.
