County of Barrhead and Woodlands County residents are invited to attend a couple of free workshops taking place in mid-April and early May.
A Tree Essentials workshop will be held at the Fort Assiniboine Legion Hall from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 and a Pruning Basics workshop will be held at Belvedere Hall from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesay, May 6.
Organizers say the Tree Essentials workshop will focus on site assessment and strategies for successful plantings, as well as advice on proper care and maintenance, including pruning and pest control tips and the Pruning Basics workshop will focus on best practices for pruning, with live demonstrations.
Residents interested in the Tree Essentials workshop are being asked to register by calling 1-866-584-3866 before the April 8 deadline.
Residents interested in the Puning Basics workshop are being asked to register by calling 780-674-3331 before the May 2 deadline.
