Residents who live in the area of 56 Avenue and 48 Street are asked to stay in their homes, lock their doors, and stay away from their windows.
“We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your Alberta RCMP is working tirelessly to maintain the situation,” as stated in the release.
Police also ask the public to refrain from post photos and videos of responding officers on social media.
