The Town of Whitecourt is now accepting applications for the 2025 Whitecourt Launch Program.
Town officials say the Launch Program was designed to strengthen Whitecourt’s economy by supporting the growth of locally-owned businesses and launching unique products and services. The program provides up to $10,000.00 in funding to assist home-based businesses that want to move into storefronts, entrepreneurs who want to open new businesses in Whitecourt, and existing businesses that want to expand their products or services to fill gaps in the community.
In order to qualify for funding, interested parties need to complete the Whitecourt Launch Application Form Schedule “A” and work with a member of the Economic Development Team throughout the application process.
Applicants will also be required to submit a business plan and detailed budget which will then be reviewed by the Economic Development Team.
If the application is successful, candidates will then be required to sign an agreement with the Town of Whitecourt which identifies rights, responsibilities and reasonable expectations.
The deadline to apply is May 2.
