The Whitecourt Wolverines third annual Superhero Night is taking place Saturday, Jan. 18, with the Calgary Canucks in town.
Superhero Night was created by Wolverines’ Broadcaster & Business Manager Wyatt Zieger, following the unfortunate passing of his younger brother Kyle, who suffered from Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.
Over the last two seasons, Wolverines’ fans have managed to raise nearly $20,000 which has been donated to Defeat Duchenne Canada, the country’s only charity dedicated to researching and curing the disorder while also improving the lives of those affected.
This year, the Wolverines will also be donating a third of the donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Stefan Serediak’s mother who passed away from breast cancer in September of 2021.
Whitecourt and area residents are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superheroes while attending the game.
Tickets can be purchased on the Whitecourt Wolverines website.
Puck Drop is at 7:00 p.m. and you can catch all the action live on XM105FM, home of the Whitecourt Wolverines.
