A PowerSchool data breach has affected school divisions across the country, including divisions in Whitecourt and surrounding area.

XM105FM reached out to Grande Yellowhead Public School Divison (GYPSD) and Northern Gateway Public School Division for comment.

Officials with Northern Gateway Public Schools say they were not affected by this breach thanks to additional security controls put in place by the division.
