The University of Alberta Golden Bears will be adding a Whitecourt Wolverine to their roster for the 2025/2026 season.
‘04 winger Dylan Ruptash will join the Golden Bears next season as they look to bring home an unprecedented 17th consecutive national championship. Ruptash has been with the team for a year and is sitting at third in the AJHL scoring race with 18 goals.
“I am proud and honoured to commit to the U of A,” says Ruptash. “I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates for helping me achieve this goal.”
Shawn Martin, Wolverines Head Coach and GM, says the Golden Bears roster is gaining a lot of talent with the addition of Ruptash.
“Dylan has injected an offensive dimension to our hockey club and is one of the best shooters in the AJHL,” says Martin. “He is very deserving of the opportunity he has received and have no doubt that he will be an effective contributor to the Golden Bears program.”
Dylan and the Wolverines are back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 8, as they play host to divisional rivals, the Devon Xtreme.
