Woodlands County council received a report from STARS Air Ambulance Senior Municipal Relations Liaison, Glenda Farden, last week, detailing STARS operations and activities in the region.
According to the report, STARS flew 11 missions in the Woodlands County area in 2024, including 10 critical inter-facility transfers from the Whitecourt Hospital. Between 2020 and 2024, STARS flew 65 total missions in the Woodlands County area.
Woodlands County has agreed to pledge $3.00 per capita, in funding for an annual total of $14,250.00, until 2025.
