Whitecourt Wolverines defenceman Xavier Lacoste has been named the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 11-17.

Lacoste leads all AJHL defencemen with 19 points following a three-point performance in games against the Olds Grizzlys and the Fort McMurray Oil Barrons, helping the Wolverines take the top spot in the AJHL.

Xavier and the rest of the Wolverines are heading out to Fort McMurray for back-to-back games against the Oil Barrons on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23.
