Whitecourt RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run on Thursday, Oct. 24.
Police say at around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, they received a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 52 Avenue and 47 Street. Officials say a 19-year-old female victim was transported to hospital by a co-worker where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released later that day.
Investigators are describing the suspect as:
- Male.
- Between 16 and 18 years of age.
- Has light skin and dark hair.
- Was wearing a grey shirt and hat at the time of the incident.
Investigators are describing the vehicle as a newer model, gold-coloured, Ford Escape.
Whitecourt RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have dash camera footage captured in the area of 52 Avenue and 47 Street between 2:45 and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 to contact the RCMP at 780-778-5454.
