With the Thanksgiving long weekend upon us, Whitecourt residents are being encouraged to help keep the shelves of the Whitecourt Food Bank stocked.
Staff with the food bank say current stock levels are good, but they will need more donations over the next couple of months.
“Pantry items are pretty well stocked right now,” says Kiana, a staff member with the food bank. “We’re kind of just gearing up for Christmas, so like stuffing and gravy. That kind of stuff.”
Kiana also pointed out they accept donations of animal food as well.
“Dog and cat food is something we’re always looking for.”
The Whitecourt Food Bank operates out of the Carlan Services Community Resource Centre located at 76 Sunset Boulevard.
More information on how to access the food bank can be found on the Town of Whitecourt Website.
