The Board of Trustees for the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Carolyn Lewis.
According to GYSPD officials, Dr. Lewis accepted another career opportunity. As such, during a Special Board Meeting held on Monday, Aug. 1, Dr. Lewis put in a request to terminate her contract with the division, effective September 30, 2024.
Board Chair Dale Karpluk has also been authorized to retain an Education Consultant to help the Board secure an acting superintendent and search for a new superintendent for GYPSD.
