Details for Canada Day celebrations in the Town of Whitecourt have been announced.
Organizers say this year’s celebrations on July 1 will be a day full of family-friendly activities including:
- Pancake Breakfast – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Seniors Circle.
- Hosted by Whitecourt town council.
- Triples Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament – 10:00 a.m. – Festival Park.
- Pre-register your team with the Allan and Jean Millar Centre by calling 780-778-3637.
- Crib Tournament – 1:00 p.m. – Seniors Circle.
- Family Fun – 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Festival Park.
- Face Painting.
- Live Entertainment.
- Inflatables.
- Crafts.
- Kids Carnival.
- Singing of O’Canada & Cupcakes – 4:00 p.m. – Festival Park.
- Live Music – 6:00 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. – Festival Park.
- Headliner: Hillside Outlaws.
- Fireworks – 11:15 p.m. – Festival Park.
Whitecourt town councilors are inviting everyone to attend this year’s celebrations, saying they look forward to mingling with residents at the pancake breakfast and throughout the day.
