The Whitecourt Minor Baseball Association hosted teams from Grande Prairie and Barrhead for a U13AA tournament on Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25.
The Whitecourt Royals’ first game was on Friday against the Grande Prairie Reds-Aldred team. The Royals won that game 16-6.
The Royals carried the momentum of that win into their next game Saturday morning, defeating the Barrhead Orioles 11-1.
Unfortunately, the win streak ended Saturday afternoon when the Royals took on the Grande Prairie Reds-Wray team, losing 17-12.
