Officials with the Town of Edson say, effective Monday, May 6, that a portion of 6 Avenue will undergo construction work to complete the repairs initiated during late summer of 2023 to address damages caused by flooding.
Crews say this construction will encompass the asphalt and sidewalk, spanning about half a block from the intersection of 48 Street to the east of Wase Creek.
Crews say for the duration of the repair work, the affected section of 6 Avenue will be closed to all traffic; this closure is expected to last until the end of May, contingent upon weather conditions.
Town officials say they apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and request cooperation and understanding from residents during this period. Officials are also thanking residents for their patience and cooperation as crews work diligently to ensure the safety and integrity of town infrastructure.
