According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), many Alberta communities experienced precipitation amounts greater than 10mm during a multi-day spring snow and rain event between Monday, April 29, and Thursday, May 2, including the towns of Edson and Barrhead.
Edson received 11.9 mm of precipitation between those dates; while Barrhead received 13.4 mm.
Pekisko, a small community in Foothills County, received the most precipitation over this time at 46.3 mm.
