According to the Alberta Fire Bans website, the fire restriction in Lac Ste. Anne County has been downgraded to a fire advisory, effective as of 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 30.
Officials say this means the ATV/UTV ban has been lifted, and recreational fires in acceptable fire pits, campfires, and burn barrels are now allowed.
Officials also note that open-air permits with restrictions may be allowed, however, residents need to contact their local Fire Guardian for more information.
As wildfire season continues, residents are being encouraged to learn and implement effective Fire Smart tips to reduce hazards within their property, acreage, or farm.
