The U18 AA Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship tournament went off successfully at JDA Place in Whitecourt from March 28-31, according to tournament officials.
TRAC U18 AA Wolverines Director and Assistant Coach Connor Nordstrom says it went exactly how organizers envisioned it.
“The overall atmosphere was great with the lights and the music and the fans,” says Nordstrom. “The hockey was exciting with all the close games and the fair share of on-ice drama throughout the weekend. We had great turnouts to all of TRAC’s games and they brought the noise. We can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”
Nordstrom added that support from sponsors and volunteers was a big contributor to the success.
“We also want to thank all of our sponsors and donors for their support. We couldn’t have achieved our vision without it. Lastly, thank you to all of our volunteers who helped plan this event and those who helped throughout the weekend; again we couldn’t have achieved our vision without them.”
