Whitecourt Mayor Tom Pickard presented cheques to the recipients of the 2024 Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant Program on Tuesday, March 19.
The Daycare Centre of Edson, serving Whitecourt at the Carlan Services Community Resource Centre, received $3,023.03 in funding to transform outdoor learning spaces.
The Wellspring Family Resource & Crisis Centre received $2,000 in funding to update and reprint the Whitecourt Community Resource Guide.
And the Community Lunch Box Program received $14,500 in funding for volunteer support and development.

Town officials say this program provides assistance to community organizations that plan to provide social programs that are preventative in nature to the community.
